Intersections at highway entrance ramps often have a different traffic pattern than intersections in a town or city. Our self-driving cars can detect and respond to these traffic signals in the same way as signals in the middle of a city. We use our cameras and sensors coupled with high-performance artificial intelligence to detect a myriad of different traffic light configurations.

In this video taken from a roof-mounted vehicle camera, the Torc self-driving car detects a stoplight and comes to a full stop, then detects a double green solid/arrow light and enters a highway ramp. It passes a truck stopped on the ramp shoulder, and continues on.

We’re showcasing the capabilities of our autonomous car system on real public roads with real scenarios the car has encountered. To get updates on the latest videos, check back on our blog or subscribe to our YouTube channel.
