(Blacksburg, Va., October 4, 2022) Torc Robotics, an independent subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has named Greg Hoffman as chief legal officer. He brings more than 20 years of legal experience to Torc, having acted as a direct advisor and partner to elected and appointed boards on a wide variety of matters.

Hoffman has experience in strategic planning, financial management, budgeting, governance, strategic execution, risk, governance, talent management, and public policy. He has extensive leadership skills in corporate governance, compliance, and strategic improvement cycles. His passion for building and executing effective leadership strategies has helped him exceed business expectations and drive commercial growth.

Hoffman is well versed in driving execution and accountability through well-defined metrics and key performance indicators, as well as redefining customer experiences to produce revenue and results in consumer products, manufacturing, and finance companies.

Prior to joining Torc, Hoffman worked at Farm Credit Mid-America, a $31 Billion financial services company, as executive vice president and general counsel, and at GE Appliances as managing counsel and chief privacy officer. He also worked at Bankers Financial Corp and Whirlpool. Hoffman holds a JD from University of Richmond School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is currently completing a dual master’s degree program where he will receive his MBA from Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and his Master of Science in Economics from Purdue University in 2023. Hoffman will be based in the Torc Blacksburg office.
