Torc has one major goal in the automotive industry – to assist in the acceleration of commercial autonomous car adoption to reduce crashes and fatalities. The Torc self-driving car, Asimov, has been built to be the best driver on the road and is integrated with the tried and tested autonomous technology developed at Torc for over a decade.
Traffic accidents are on the rise. The NHSTA reports that more than 37,000 lives were lost from accidents on U.S. roads in 2016. Our hope is that self-driving vehicles will be a major solution in the effort to combatting these accidents. This video provides a brief overview of Asimov and the autonomous technology that we continue improving every day, with the hope it will one day contribute to saving thousands of lives.
