In this video from CES 2018, Torc Robotics CEO Michael Fleming talks about Torc’s ongoing collaboration with graphic processing unit (GPU) powerhouse NVIDIA. Torc’s 2017 Asimov vehicles use NVIDIA technology for perception and behavioral decision-making to maximize their safety and flexibility.
“We’ve saved lives on the defense side, we’ve saved lives on the mining side, and we’re going to save lives on the automotive side through partners such as NVIDIA,” said Fleming.
At CES 2018, Asimov self-driving cars—using NVIDIA technology—delighted passengers with their human-like driving skills. They successfully handled a wide range of Las Vegas driving scenarios including complex intersections, traffic lights, high-speed merges, and unpredictable pedestrians.
