Dr. Peter v. schmidt
CEO of Torc Robotics
Prior to joining Torc, Dr. Peter V. Schmidt was the head of the Autonomous Technology Group for Daimler Truck for three years. Before leading that organization, he managed the strategy organization for Daimler Truck, where his focus areas included the Chinese market, autonomous technology, electrification, connectivity and digital transformation.
Andrew Culhane
Chief Commercial Officer
In his 14+ years at Torc, Andrew has been instrumental in guiding the strategy towards the commercialization of autonomous vehicles. He believes the fastest way to successful implementation is through collaboration and is responsible for identifying industries that share Torc’s mission of saving lives through self-driving technology.
C.J. King
Chief Engineering Officer
C.J. King has extensive expertise in product development, managing global, diverse teams, technology optimizations and new-system implementations as a result of his previous roles at HERE Technologies and as a Senior Software Development Manager at Amazon, where he led the Native Cloud Re-Architecture Engineering team.

Chief Legal Officer
At Torc, Hoffman provides companywide advice on strategic planning, financial management, budgeting, governance, strategic execution, risk, governance, and more. He has extensive leadership skills in corporate governance, compliance, and strategic improvement cycles, allowing him to exceed business expectations and drive commercial growth.
Richard Kannan
Chief Financial Officer
Richard has extensive experience in financial leadership, creating high performing teams, post-acquisition integration and driving significant change initiatives. He worked for 26 years for GE and a GE spin-off working in primarily in finance with cross functional roles in rating agency relations, risk management and call center operations
kayla smith
Chief of Staff to the CEO
Kayla serves as Chief of Staff to the CEO for Torc. In this role, she provides primary support for the CEO, Board of Directors, and key committees that support corporate governance. She also facilitates a variety of special projects and activities across the company’s leadership team.
